Overview
Epinephrine labels specify room-temperature storage, and nobody can see inside a backpack. The Temp-Alert Disc is a slim, sealed temperature sensor, water-resistant (IP67) and weighing 7 g, that rides in the Thermal Pack or any kit bag. The free ResQBand app listens to it while it's open on your phone: when a reading leaves the range you set, your phone alerts you and you get an email. The readings the app collects are kept in your ResQBand account as a chart and a spreadsheet you can show a school, a camp or a pharmacist. Its wireless link reaches up to 150 m in open air, and the sealed battery lasts about two years by the manufacturer's estimate. The Forget-Me-Not Epi Tracker answers where the kit is; the Temp-Alert Disc answers how hot or cold it got.

Questions
Does it alert me from anywhere?
No. The disc talks straight to your phone, not over Wi-Fi or cellular. The ResQBand app alerts you while it's open on a phone within range of the disc: up to about 150 m in the open, less through walls and bags. Keep Bluetooth on, and since phones pause apps that aren't on screen, open the app when you're with the kit.
Who gets the alerts?
Your phone, through the ResQBand app, and your email. Texts to you and your Tap Card's emergency contacts are coming soon.
Which app does it use?
The free ResQBand app for iPhone and Android. Sign in with the email from your order, add the disc, and set the range printed on your medication's label.
How long does the battery last?
About two years, by the manufacturer's estimate. It's sealed so the disc stays water-resistant; when it runs low, your account says so and it's time for a new disc.
How is this different from the Forget-Me-Not Epi Tracker?
The Forget-Me-Not Epi Tracker answers where the kit is, on your phone's map. The Temp-Alert Disc records how hot or cold the kit got. They ride in the case together and each does one job well.
